Foster Falls Recreation Area gets grant to improve trails

MARION COUNTY, Tennessee (WDEF) -Marion County is cashing in on the latest round of grants from the Recreational Trails Program.

They are getting $196,000 to improve the trails at Foster Falls.

The project includes trail building plus creating climbing areas in the Recreation Area.

The plan also includes a new “passing trail”, new staging areas with stone walls and stairs plus restoring access paths.

This is a federal grant that will match local money from the Access Fund.
