Four arrested after gunfire incident in DeKalb County

 

DEKALB COUNTY, Al. (WDEF) —  Authorities in Dekalb County are investigating an incident that led to multiple suspects firing shots into homes and a vehicle on Monday evening.

Around 6:20 p.m. on May 12, 2025, deputies with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to a shots fired call on County Road 1001 in Valley Head.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered bullet damage to an occupied home and an unoccupied vehicle.

While securing the scene and speaking with victims, deputies came under a round of gunfire from the direction of a nearby home.

According to DCSO, rounds were passing directly over deputies’ heads in close proximity.

Deputies located the source of the gunfire and observed two men fleeing into a residence on County Road 9045.

A perimeter was established, and the Dekalb County SRT and Criminal Investigations Division responded.

All individuals inside the home were detained without further incident.

A search of the scene revealed dozens of spent shell casings, a firearm with an altered serial number, ammunition, and signs of heavy alcohol use.

Investigators determined that four people had fired from the County Road 9045 residence into two homes and a parked vehicle on County Road 1001.

Arrested were:

  • Adrian Tomas, 18, of Fort Payne — Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling (2 counts), Drunkard in Possession of Pistol, Possession of a Firearm with an Altered ID and Reckless Endangerment
  • Francisco Pedro-Pascual, 24, of Fort Payne — Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling, Drunkard in Possession of Pistol and Reckless Endangerment
  • Dulce Trinidad, 19, of Valley Head — Reckless Endangerment
  • Ana Domingo, 20, of Fort Payne — Reckless Endangerment

The case remains under investigation, and charges are expected to follow.
