Four people arrested in connection to robbery and police chase

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – Four people are facing several felony charges in connection to a violent robbery that turned into a police chase.

Jamarcus Davis, 18, Nautica Goldthreat, 18, Demetrius Johnson, 24, and another suspect who has yet to be identified are all facing robbery, evading arrest and illegal possession of a firearm charges.

Late Friday night, Chattanooga police were called to investigate a robbery in the 400 block of Tunnel Blvd.

The victim told officers that she and her boyfriend were walking to when four men came from behind her vehicle and started assaulting her boyfriend. She said when she jumped inside get into the vehicle, one of the men pulled her out and robbed her of $50 and a cell phone. After the alleged robbery was complete, the men jumped into Black Ford Expedition and took off.

According to the arrest affidavit, the woman drove to a nearby gas station to call police while her boyfriend took off on foot.

While on patrol in the Brainerd area, police spotted a speeding SUV matching the description of the suspects vehicle.

When when an officer attempted to pull over the SUV, the driver refused to stop and led police on a chase. The chase ended when the driver lost control of the SUV and crashed it into parked at in the 200 block of Willow Street.

All four suspects reportedly tried to get away on foot but were eventually captured.

When police searched Goldthreat, he was in possession of the items that were reported stolen.

Johnson was later identified as one of the robbery suspects by the victims.

According to police, Davis freely admitted taking part in the robbery.
