Four Red Bank teens arrested for theft after police chase

RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) — Red Bank police officers arrested four teens early Sunday morning for a high-speed chase and stolen items.

Officers were patrolling the north end of Red Bank when they noticed the occupants of two vehicles at an apartment complex were wearing masks and hoodies.

That officer tried to stop those vehicles, but they both sped off. They headed north on Dayton Boulevard and onto Highway 153.

At the interchange between those two roads, one driver lost control of the car, crashed and rolled several times.

Officers then took four juveniles into custody.

No one was injured as a result of the crash.

However, officers did recover two firearms, one of which was reported stolen. That car had been reported stolen out of North Georgia as well.

Authorities charged the suspects with the following.

  • Theft of property,
  • Possession of a stolen firearm,
  • Unlawful possession of a firearm,
  • Possession of a firearm during a felony,
  • Possession of burglary tools,
  • Reckless endangerment,
  • Evading arrest.

Police did not identify any of the suspects since they are under the age of 18.

They also want to remind the public to keep their vehicles locked, and to never leave keys inside a car.
