Francesca’s clothing chain is closing

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A women’s clothing chain seems to be going out of business.

A spokesperson for Francesca’s tells the Women’s Wear Daily that they are liquidating their inventory and closing soon.

The chain began in Houston 26 years ago and now has expanded to 457 stores nationwide.

One of them is at Hamilton Corner on Gunbarrel Road.

The chain grew as a staple of malls across the country.

There is no word yet on when the company plans to close.
