Freddie Gray’s death ruled a homicide
BALTIMORE (AP) – Few in Baltimore expected it to happen so quickly — Friday’s announcement that charges have been filed against six police officers in the death of Freddie Gray.
State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby declared that Gray’s death was a homicide — and that his arrest itself was illegal.
And she said his treatment by police amounted to murder and manslaughter.
Mosby offered details on what happened to Gray during his arrest and his more-than 30-minute ride in a police wagon — some of which contradicted what police have said.
