Free Boring Company Tunnel contest finalists

Three Tennessee projects have made the cut for a free tunnel from the Boring Company.

The company is vowing to build one of the projects for free.

The three Tennessee finalists are a “Vol Loop” in Knoxville, a Mountain Mile Loop in Gatlinburg and a tunnel in Hendersonville.

But the Mayor’s office in Knoxville is surprised they are on the list.

They say they haven’t pitched anything to the company founded by Elon Musk.

The Boring Company has already built a tunnel project in Las Vegas and is about to construct another one in Nashville.
