Annual tribute to the old ways is this weekend on the Sequatchie River
WHITWELL, Tennessee (WDEF) – Ketner’s Mill is a testament to the old ways. And so is the annual fall festival at the mill.
This year’s Ketner’s Mill Country Arts & Crafts Fair is Saturday and Sunday in the Sequatchie Valley near Whitwell.
The event offers the usual fall festival activities, like arts and crafts, music and eating.
But Ketner’s offers a glimpse into how we used to live with blacksmiths, woodworkers and other artisans.
The mill itself can still crank out freshly ground cornmeal.
Our video is from the festival in 1992, 30 years ago.
And you’ll see that not much has changed.
