From the Archives: 1992 student worries

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Can parents really relate to the trouble school kids face today?

School shootings, sexting, meth and fentanyl, and the devaluation of a college degree are all fairly new obstacles for the modern student to overcome.

But their parents faced many of the same issues in schools that their kids now face, too.

30 years ago, we did a student survey and checked local stats on what students were worried about.

Sex, drugs and money were issues back then, and still are now.

Here is what our education reporter Chris Allen learned from students in 1992.
