From the Archives: Blizzard of ’93

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The weather was beautiful on Thursday, but that wasn’t the case 31 years ago. We were in the middle of the biggest snowfall of our lifetimes.

The records show 18 and a half inches fell in Chattanooga, but the total was much more outside the city.

We quickly learned that people in our area were not ready for that much snow.
