Funding increase for Legal Aid of East Tennessee
LAET officials say their funding will be increased by 37.5% in 2016.
“Two years ago, United Way of Bradley County made it possible for LAET to reopen its Cleveland office. This office quickly became a vital resource for low-income citizens and seniors in the Cleveland area,” said Russell Fowler, Associate Director of LAET’s Southern Region.
Fowler also says the extra $15,000 will allow the office to be open another day each week and expand other services as well.
Their office is located at 166 North Ocoee Street, directly across from the Bradley County Courthouse.

LAET’s mission is to ensure justice for elderly, abused, and low-income people by providing a broad scope of civil legal assistance and advocacy.
