GA Department of Public Safety searching for hit-and-run suspect
WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — Authorities are searching for a hit-and-run suspect in Cohutta, Georgia, who injured two male juveniles on skateboards.
At 7:27 p.m., December 30, 2024, Georgia State Patrol (GSP) troopers responded to a hit-and-run report on Cohutta Varnell Road.
According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety, the crash investigation revealed a 2014-2015 black Honda Accord was traveling southbound.
At the time, two 16 year old males were riding skateboards on the shoulder of the roadway.
The black Honda Accord struck both juveniles and proceeded to flee the scene.
One of the juveniles was released from the scene with minor injuries, while the other was transported to Erlanger in Chattanooga via Life Force.
Law enforcement are still searching for the Honda Accord and the identity of the suspect.
