Gambling machines confiscated in Fort Payne

FORT PAYNE, Ala. (WDEF) — Fort Payne Police have confiscated illegal gambling machines this week.

On Monday, they raided three local businesses after receiving tips about them.

Police officials say they found a total of 38 gambling machines at the three locations.

The machines were found to be doing cash payouts.

Police seized over $7,200 dollars in cash, and arrested Gael Garcia of Albertville.

Garcia has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of gambling devices
  • Conspiracy to promote gambling
  • Promoting gambling
  • Possession of gambling records
