GBI asks for help in 2022 homicide investigation
PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office are asking for help in a 2022 homicide investigation.
37-year-old Joshua Mitchell was found dead in his driveway on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022.
He had been shot multiple times.
The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI to help with this investigation.
Paulding Co. deputies were dispatched to a home in the 500 block of Warrenton Drive last year after receiving multiple 911 calls to the area.
When deputies arrived, they found Mitchell lying on the driveway just outside of the garage of the home.
He had suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sunday marks the one-year anniversary of Mitchell’s death.
He was a Marine Corps veteran, was known to many as a contractor in the metro Atlanta area, a hard-worker, and a family man.
