GBI names woman shot by police after I 75 chase

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation reports that the woman shot by officers after the I 75 chase this week remains in critical condition.

They have identified her as 33 year old Clinique Jackson.

The GBI says she emerged from the stolen vehicle after officers forced it over, pointing two handguns at officers.

Officers from Tunnel Hill and Hamilton County opened fire on her.

Parrish Smaely who was originally driving, had given himself up by then.

He was taken into custody without incident.

The chase began in Hamilton County, after the two were suspected of pulling a gun on security at at Kohl’s store in Cleveland that tried to stop them for shoplifting.
