Georgia authorities say 2 dead, 1 injured in Ringgold crash
RINGGOLD, Ga. (WDEF) — Two died in a fiery crash in Ringgold and one other was severely injured, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The crash happened Saturday night, February 24 around 11:30 p.m. It was on Georgia Highway 151, near Ooltewah Ringgold Road.
Three females were in a 2018 Toyota Camry that left the road and hit a building. State troopers said the car burst into flames while inside the structure.
The two passengers died from their injuries at the scene.
First responders rescued the driver from the crash and transported her to a hospital for treatment. Authorities said her injuries were serious.
The Georgia State Patrol said charges are pending following their investigation.
Those in the Ringgold community are mourning the tragedy at this time.
