Georgia Judge charged with making terroristic threats over case of stolen veggies
Resident accused him of stealing from his garden
STATESBORO, Georgia (WDEF) – A Georgia judge has been charged with making a terrorist threat by the GBI.
70 year old Chief Magistrate Judge Eddie Anderson faces that charge and a count of violating his oath of office.
The GBI says the Tattnall County Sheriff asked them to investigate complaints of theft, trespassing and threats against the judge last month.
The case involved Judge Anderson going into the garden of a resident and taking some of his produce without permission.
When the homeowner called Anderson to talk about it, investigators say the Judge made a threat of violence against the gardener in front of witnesses.
Judge Anderson was arrested on Tuesday.
