Georgia Lt. Governor Casey Cagle talks education at Heritage High School

Ringgold, GA (WDEF) – Students at Heritage High School got a living civics lesson Thursday.
Georgia Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle dropped by the school Thursday afternoon.
But instead of focusing on social studies or government, the lieutenant governor said kids need to focus more on technical classes nowadays.
Thursday he stressed the importance of math and science.
Cagle said, "High tech jobs is really what it’s about and we’ve got to put more emphasis on STEM education where they do get that science and technology along with math and really get good proficiency there, because that’s where the jobs are going to be for the future."
One of Cagle’s key issues is education.
His goal is to make sure every child in Georgia has the ability to pursue their own path towards quality schooling.
