Georgia man arrested in Scottsboro for drug trafficking

SCOTTSBORO, Al. (WDEF) —  A routine traffic stop in Scottsboro led to the arrest of a Georgia man on multiple drug-related charges.

At 10:11 p.m., April 23, 2025, Scottsboro Police Department officers conducted a stop in the 2100 block of Veterans Drive.

The driver and only person inside the vehicle, James Psihogios, of Acworth, Georgia, was arrested at the scene.

Officers recovered the following from the vehicle:

  • 4.5 grams of a fentanyl mixture
  • 2.3 grams of crack cocaine
  • 58 individually wrapped marijuana blunts
  • 1 clear glass pipe

Psihogios faces charges of:

  • Drug Trafficking (Fentanyl Mixture)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine)
  • Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

He is currently being held at the Jackson County Jail on a $53,500 bond.
