Superior Court Judge Scott Minter sentenced 43-year-old Aaron Terrell Tyler to 25 years in prison on Wednesday, September 27.

The judge also ordered Tyler to register as a sex offender and to have no contact with the three victims.

Whitfield County officials said Tyler pled guilty to aggravated sodomy in one case. They said he also pled guilty to false imprisonment and simple assault in another case.

Authorities arrested Tyler back in June of this year, as he was already a convicted sex offender.

County officials said Tyler committed false imprisonment against one woman and simple assault against another at a hotel in the area.

New details reveal that afterwards Tyler sexually assaulted a woman in the restroom at the Walnut Avenue Walmart.

There, Whitfield County and Dalton authorities responded and took him into custody.

“All three ladies expressed the desire to see Tyler plead guilty and avoid a trial where they would have to testify,” said District Attorney Benjamin Kenemer. “Each victim was given the plea recommendation that Judge Minter accepted and all three asked that he be sentenced as such.”
