Georgia QB Hutson Mason Leaves Belk Bowl With Injury
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) – Georgia senior quarterback Hutson Mason has left the Belk Bowl in the second quarter with an undisclosed injury.
His return is uncertain, according to the Georgia public relations department.
Mason took a hard shot to his midsection midway through the second quarter and was slow to get up but remained in the game. A short while later he was taken to the locker room for observations.
He reportedly was suffering from vision issues.
Mason was 10-of-15 passing for 148 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown pass when he left the game with the Bulldogs leading 20-7.
He was replaced by Brice Ramsey, who threw an interception on his first pass attempt from the Louisville 31.
