Georgia state representative looks to dedicate intersection

Whitfield County, Georgia (WDEF) — A Georgia state representative is working to make sure one Whitfield County Deputy’s memory is kept alive.

Our media partners at the Dalton Daily Citizen say Deputy Durwin Potts was injured after the patrol car he was driving rolled several times.

This was back in 1996.

Potts died from his injuries the next day.

Now State Representative Bruce Broadrick, has introduced a resolution to dedicate the intersection of Cleveland Highway and Waring Road as the Deputy Durwin Potts Memorial Intersection.
