The MLK Day of Service was rescheduled for Saturday, April 6 due to inclement weather.

CFD is partnering with Red Cross and the Chattanooga Football Club to distribute and install these smoke alarms.

They will be handing out smoke alarms at the Eastdale Recreation Center on Saturday.

Those in need may also request a home installation. Firefighters will go door to door installing smoke alarms in the Eastdale area.

“Smoke alarms save lives, giving you time to escape in the event of a fire so it’s imperative that Chattanooga residents have working smoke alarms in their homes,” said CFD’s Lindsey Rogers.
