GHSA Sets Contact Limits For High School Football Practice
Georgia high school football teams will not be allowed to do as much hitting in practice next season.
The GHSA has passed new contact restrictions.
Teams will only be allowed 45 minutes of contact a day during practice in the pre-season.
And the time drops to 30-minutes per day during the regular season.
Coaches will also be required to produce a written practice plan prior to every practice.
The new contact rules are similar to the ones recommended by the National High School Federation in an effort to reduce possible concussions.
