Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office SRO deputy struck by vehicle

ELLIJAY, Ga. (WDEF) — A Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office SRO deputy was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic on Highway 5 South on Tuesday, November 18.
The deputy has non-life threatening injuries but is in a significant amount of pain, according to the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office.
He was admitted to the hospital for further evaluation.
