Girl Scout Cookie season is here!

Dr. Sabrina Sammons with the Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians joins News 12 This Morning to talk about girl scout cookie season and to judge the annual cookie eating contest.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – It’s that time of year again where green sashes are near every grocery store, Girl Scout cookie season.

The Girl Scout cookie program is the largest girl led entrepreneur program in the world now. It is also their biggest fundraiser of the year. The money raised from the sales stay local. The money helps fund the troops, their activities, and community projects they do year round.

There are four weekends left to secure your favorite seasonal cookie by either the boxes or case load. Girl scouts can mainly be found around grocery stores. To find out where to purchase your cookies and support your local troop, visit the Girl Scouts Find Cookies website.
