Girl Scouts donate boxes of candy to Gatlinburg first responders
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Girl Scout Council of Southern Appalachians donated 916 boxes of candy to first responders of the Gatlinburg fires on Monday.
The Council includes Chattanooga and Knoxville Girl Scout troops.
While the Scouts sell cookies in the spring, they also sell nuts and candies in the fall to support our troops.
But this year, they decided to share their “Gift of Caring” portion from the drive with the first responders.
Trophy Nut provided the candy.
