Glass Street Shooting in Avondale Community

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF)- Chattanooga police search for three people in connection with the city’s latest shooting incident.

35- year-old Thomas Williams was shot in the face this afternoon in the Avondale community on Glass Street.

They sealed off a portion of Wheeler avenue and began looking for evidence.

That’s after the unidentified victim went looking for help.

” We had a victim show up at a local fire hall. OK. We feel like the incident occurred somewhere in this area on Wheeler, but we are not sure. Uh, we have some information that is kind of leading us in this direction..but we haven’t confirmed that yet,” says Lt. Eddie Chamberlain of the Chattanooga Police Department.

Police put out a call to all units to look for a silver car with two males and and one female that was seen in the area.

The victim was treated by EMS at the fire station and taken to a local hospital.

His wound is not considered life-threatening.
