Good Samaritan rescues disabled resident from fire
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A Good Samaritan rescued a disabled resident out of a burning house after spotting smoke from the home.
Chattanooga firefighters were called to the 900 block of Lindsay Street at 2:44 PM for a residential fire.
Before their arrival, a Good Samaritan passing by saw the smoke and immediately helped the disabled resident and called 911.
CFD discovered the fire was coming from the garage and made interior attacks as the fire spread to the attic.
By 3:18, the fire was put out.
The American Red Cross is assisting two disabled residents and there are no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
