Gordon Lee Baseball Falls to Schley Co in Class A State Championship Series

Rome, GA-(WDEF) The Schley Co baseball team beat Gordon Lee twice on Thursday to claim the Class A state title at the Rome Braves Stadium.
In game one, the Wildcats scored twice in the third to go up 2-0.
Then in the fifth inning, Schley Co got big RBI base hits from Will Barry and Clint Sellars as they piled up four runs in the inning to seal a 6-0 victory.
In game two, the Wildcats got two runs in the bottom of the first on a two RBI double from Wade Law.
Schley Co tacked on two more runs in the second to go up 4-0.
Gordon Lee’s offense came to life in the top of the third by getting two runs.
Noah Peterson and Dylan Minghini both had RBI base hits to make it 4-2.
But the Wildcats answered with six runs in the bottom of the third.
Schley Co won game two 12-3 to claim the state title.
