Gov. Bill Lee announces The Boring Company’s project linking downtown Nashville to BNA
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) — Traveling from the heart of downtown Nashville to the Nashville International Airport might become a lot easier.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced that The Boring Company is planning to build an underground transit system called the Music City Loop from Downtown Nashville to BNA.
The Music City Loop will also be connected to the Convention Center.
The Loop with consist of an eight minute ride, and is completely free to taxpayers.

This project aims to reduce traffic congestion, emissions, create new jobs, and preserve public roads.
The first 10-mile phase will be built under state-owned roads.
According to the governors office, The Boring Company intends to begin construction immediately following the approvals process.

The first segment of the Music City Loop is expected to be operational in the fall of 2026.
