Governor Kemp announces appointments to Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit

ATLANTA, Ga. (WDEF) — Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced appointments to judicial circuits and state courts on Wednesday. Of those, Governor Kemp appointed Chris Arnt and Clayton Fuller within the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit.

Governor Kemp appointed Chris Arnt as District Attorney.

Arnt previously served as Chief Assistant District Attorney. In his last role, he was responsible for overseeing other prosecutors. Arnt earned his Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law.

He also served as past chair of the Catoosa County Republican Party.

He was assigned this new position to fill the vacancy of former District Attorney Ralph Van Pelt, Jr.

Arnt currently resides in Ringgold, Georgia.


Clayton Fuller

In addition, Governor Kemp appointed Clayton Fuller as Senior Assistant District Attorney for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit. He filled the vacancy created by Chris Arnt’s appointment to District Attorney.

Fuller has previously argued cases before the Georgia Supreme Court and state Court of Appeals. He also served as a White House Fellow in the Office of the Vice President and Department of Defense.

He serves as a Major and a Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for the Tennessee and Alabama Air National Guards as well.

Fuller currently resides in Lookout Mountain.
