Greenville Triumph Advances to USL League One Finals With 1-0 Win Over Red Wolves

( GREENVILLE, S.C. – Greenville Triumph SC booked its place in the USL League One Final with a 1-0 extra time victory over Chattanooga Red Wolves SC at Legacy Early College on Saturday night in the USL League One Semifinals, presented by TwinSpires.

Triumph SC’s Jesús Ibarra scored a belter in the 97th minute to earn Greenville’s spot in next weekend’s Final. Greenville will visit Union Omaha, which defeated FC Tucson 6-1 in the other semifinal match.

Greenville and Chattanooga met two weeks ago on the same field in the regular season and played out a 0-0 draw. Through another 90 minutes Saturday night, there was still nothing to separate the teams.

Marios Lomis scored an insurance goal in the second extra time period, giving the hosts a 2-0 lead in the 111th minute. Andrew Booth provided the assist with a perfectly-placed square ball after drawing Trilk off his line. Player of the Match
