Grundy County man indicted on drug charges
GRUETLI-LAAGER, Tenn. (WDEF) – The federal grand jury returned a six count indictment against a Grundy County man on weapons and drug charges, who was indicted July 26th.
50-year-old Vincent Garner of Gruetli-Laager faces charges of manufacturing and distributing marijuana, illegally possessing a firearm after being previously convicted of a felony and possessing a firearm during a drug trafficking transaction.
Court officials say Garner being indicted is the result of a lengthy investigation by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven Neff will represent the United States.
The indictment was filed in Federal court in Chattanooga.
Members of the public are reminded that an indictment constitutes only charges and that every person is presumed innocent until his or her guilt has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
