Grundy County raises teacher pay

ALTAMONT, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Grundy County School Board has voted to increase teacher salaries.

Next year, their pay goes up by $5576.

Starting teacher pay will be $46,000.

School officials say that raises the beginning teacher pay $4000 above the state required minimum salary.

“We are elated to be in a position to increase teacher pay for the second year in a row.”
