Grundy man indicted for stealing from his military museum

ALTAMONT, Tennessee (WDEF) – A Grundy County grand jury has indicted the director of a local military museum for theft.

Sixty seven year old Ronald Alred is head of the Sam Werner Military Museum in Monteagle.

He’s charged with the theft of more than $200,000 dollars worth of military equipment from the museum.

The vehicles were allegedly sold to private collectors.

Alred is free on a $25,000 dollar bond.
