Grundy Sheriff receives national honor
RENO, Nevada (WDEF) — Grundy County Sheriff Clint Shrum says it was a “humbling” experience.
In a ceremony in Reno, Nevada, the National Sheriffs’ Association presented Shrum with the J. Stannard Baker Lifetime Achievement Award for Traffic Safety.
John Marshall, son of the late supreme court justice Thurgood Marshall, made the presentation.
He’s the Director of the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
He remarked, “Our nation, in particular the citizens of Grundy County, are so very fortunate to have your dedicated service and leadership.”
