Guilty Verdict for Ronald Cosper

Chattanooga (WDEF) – After two days of deliberation — a jury returned a guilty verdict this morning in the murder trial of Ronald Cosper.

Jurors convicted Cosper on two counts — felony murder and attempt to commit especially aggravated robbery in the 2012 murder of Steve Mosley.

Cosper could go to jail for life on the murder conviction.

Judge Barry Steelman is considering whether to pursue contempt of court charges against two family members who ran screaming from the courtroom as the verdict was pronounced.
