Two serious wrecks on I-24 Monday
MARION COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Two serious wrecks took place on I-24 Monday in Marion County, according to the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department (HVFD).
One wreck took place shortly after 9 a.m. CST. The HVFD was dispatched to this fatal wreck.
The fire department said it was a single-vehicle wreck on I-24 eastbound at mile marker 162.
In this crash, a blue SUV rolled over, according to the HVFD. The Jasper Fire Department also assisted in this accident.
A second, unrelated crash took place shortly after on I-24 at mile marker 166.
This was also a single-vehicle wreck, where one woman was trapped in her vehicle. Fire personnel extracted the woman.
The HVFD was dispatched to this wreck as well, along with Kimball Fire and Rescue.
“All names of occupants are withheld at this time until nearest relatives have been notified,” the HVFD said.
