Hamilton Co. Emergency Services Weather Alert


Hamilton County, TN—- Arctic air moving into Hamilton County this weekend. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the wind chill readings will be as low as -10F to -20 F in the mountains and -5F to 5 F in the valley.
Hamilton County Emergency Services wants everyone to remember this important information:

COLD AIR IMPACTS
        • Those not dressed appropriately will be susceptible to hypothermia/frostbite.
        • Exposed pipes may freeze
        • Threat to outside pets and livestock
PREPARE FOR:
        • Dress appropriately if you are going outdoors, especially children
        • Cover or insulate exposed pipes
        • Bring in or provide shelter for livestock or outdoor pets
        • Check on the elderly or those with insufficient heat
