Hamilton County closes roads because of flooding

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) Heavy rains Monday afternoon have forced Hamilton County officials to close several area roads.

They urge drivers in Middle Valley and East Brainerd Road to avoid low areas.

The roads listed below have at least one or more areas where water is over the roadway:

Ooltewah Ringgold Road

Snow Hill Road

3200 Ripley Run Road

Standifer Gap Road

Old East Brainerd Road

Wandering Way

At 4 PM, parts of Hamilton, Bradley, Catoosa and Whitfield Counties are under flash flood warnings.

They include Cleveland, Harrison and Collegedale.
