Hamilton County deputies involved in Highway 27 pursuit

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies were involved in a pursuit on Highway 27 yesterday.

In the early morning hours of November 15, 2024, deputies on patrol were notified by an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) of a stolen vehicle in the area of Middle Valley Road near Valleywood Drive.

Deputies were able to locate the vehicle near Bowman Road.

HCSO reported the vehicle starting going towards Highway 27.

Deputies attempted a traffic stop, but the driver failed to stop and deputies initiated a pursuit.

HCSO deputies along Red Bank Police Department Officers were involved in this pursuit.

According to HCSO two successful spike-strip deployment to the vehicle were initiated, but the vehicle continued southbound.

Deputies attempted to box in the fleeing vehicle, however the driver made contact with a patrol unit and was able to keep going.

A successful PIT maneuver on ML King Boulevard in downtown Chattanooga ended the vehicle pursuit.

Four occupants of the vehicle fled the scene.

Deputies were able to capture all occupants except the driver.

Two occupants have been charged since the incident.

Quincy E. Harris has been charged with the following:

  • Theft
  • Evading Arrest (on foot)
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Tramel Hubbard has also been charged with Evading Arrest (on foot) and Resisting Arrest.
