Hamilton County Health Department starts health assessment survey
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Hamilton County Health Department has teamed up with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) for a Community Health Assessment.
The health assessment is the first of its kind for Hamilton County.
“The data we collect from this we are actually going to use for our 2023, 2024 picture of our health reports,” Maegan Kerr of Hamilton County Health Department said.
The health department states that they want to meet the needs of Hamilton County residents. Their goal is to improve care.
“It’s a great opportunity. We haven’t been able to do this because of the pandemic, and now that we are coming out of the pandemic, it was perfect timing to reconnect with our community,” Zeke Garcia of the Hamilton County Health Department said.
The assessment is currently available for residents who are 18 and older.
It is an easy way to be heard, and it could be good for your health.
“This Saturday we have three events, and on Sunday we will be at La Paz block party in the afternoon. So, we’ll be able to promote some of our services. But also be there to help anyone who wants to complete the public health survey,” Garcia said.
Residents can find the survey at the health department’s website.
