Hamilton County Officials Get Sworn In

After a long and intense campaign District 1’s Randy Fairbanks says job creation will be his main focus.
"Randy Fairbanks, Hamilton County Commission District 1,"I like to eat so I would like more eateries up there but if we could bring even more manufacturing jobs small manufacturing that would help us, we just need some jobs up there to employ more people"
Laughs were shared by judges as some struggled to read without their glasses and crowds were entertained by a local school choir.
Sheriff Hammond says he wants to be remembered as someone who enhanced and changed Hamilton County for the better.
Jim Hammond, Hamilton County Sheriff,"Continue to work with issues in the jail but as a law enforcement agency I am proud to have a new police chief in the city we can work, the AEGIS foundation, one of the top priorities for us is to build that up to help with law enforcement"
Judges Christie Sell and Barry Steelman also received warm welcomes as they returned to General sessions court and Hamilton County Criminal Court respectively.
Mayor Jim Coppinger also spoke of new District Attorney Neal Pinkston saying he was unable to attend the event due to work commitments and a tight schedule, he was thanked by Coppinger for his commitment to justice in Hamilton County.
