Hamilton County school budget is out

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Hamilton County Schools has released its new proposed budget for next year.

The school board will discuss the 230 page document at its next meeting on March 22.

Among the highlights, the budget includes over half a million dollars for the superintendent and his office.

That includes two assistants, one clerical person and 38-thousand dollars for dues and memberships.

School board members we talked with today say they have not had a chance to study the new budget.
