Hamilton County Sheriff Office job fair

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (WDEF)- The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a job fair this evening.

The virtual job fair is Thursday night from 6:30 until 7:30 and people who want to work for Hamilton County can attend the virtual interview to gain more information or apply at www.hcsheriff.gov.

Deputy Chief Shaun Shepherd said these types of events allow the process to be streamlined so they can get people looking for work with the Sheriff’s office a job quickly.

“This event is very different from the one we will have in person. Usually, it takes five, six weeks to get the initial process of getting hired through there because there’s a lot of bureaucracy, a lot of red tape, if you will that we have to go through in order to vet qualified employees. We’re gonna condense that all the way into four or five-hour period,” said Shepherd.

The in-person interviews will be next week Saturday the 26th at 10 am at  Metro Tab Church on Shepard road.
