Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Chattanooga Police Honor Fallen Officers in Annual Memorial Ceremony
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.(WDEF) — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and Chattanooga Police Department co-hosted the annual Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
During the ceremony, a rose was laid for each fallen officer—a symbolic act that underscored the lasting impact of their service and sacrifice.
“Each rose laid is a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made,” said Austin Garrett with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
For the families of the fallen, the ceremony is a cherished time to honor their loved ones. While the pain of loss remains, many say they are grateful for the opportunity to reflect on their sacrifice and feel the ongoing support of the community.
