Hamilton County teacher calls school administration bully
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A Hamilton county school teacher said she was bullied by the Hamilton County school administration to get students to perform well. 15-year teacher veteran, Jessica Dean claimed goals were not clear and she felt like she was being setup to fail.
Dean says she had to do excessive paperwork, inaccurate data reporting. She also says there are problems with the ‘No Child Left Behind” act and those problems made it difficult for her to teach and students to learn.
“They know that nothing is going to happen to them — they have escalated in behavior and its almost like any child, they’ll test the waters. They’re going to push the boundaries and when nothing happens they push further and further.” said the 15-year teacher veteran.
Dean says teachers need to have more say in the education system.
