Hamilton Heights Abdulhakim Ado Signs With Mississippi State

Chattanooga-(WDEF) The spring signing period for high school recruits is underway, and Hamilton Heights big man Abdulhakim Ado signed with Mississippi State on Thursday.
Ado is the first basketball player from Hamilton Heights to sign with an SEC school.
Ado stands 6’10, and according to Hawks coach Zach Ferrell, his wing span is 7’5.
Ado grew up in Nigeria, and he feels humbled and blessed to be signing a college basketball scholarship.
Said Ado,”First of all, I didn’t even know about basketball that much until somebody called me and said hey, start playing basketball. Now here I am after watching all these people going to college to play basketball and now I’m going to school too. It’s something I can’t even explain.”
