Harrison Bay area home completely destroyed in fire
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A house caught fire near Harrison Bay Wednesday morning and was completely destroyed.
The house that caught fire was located on Harrison Bay Road, according to Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management.
They said a passerby reported the house fire around 9:45 a.m.
Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department (VFD), Tri-Community VFD, and Chattanooga Firefighters all assisted in extinguishing the blaze.
County officials said the flames spread quickly due to very windy conditions.
The homeowner was in Florida at the time of the fire, according to Highway 58 fire officials.
No one was injured as a result. However, the home is a total loss.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will investigate to determine what caused the fire.
